Course Description:

System analysis and design plays the key role of developing information systems in modern organizations. This course provides students the concepts, principles, and methods of systems analysis and design for business information systems. Students will learn about how computerized information systems are developed and implemented in organizations. Topics include system development life cycle, project management, requirement analysis, data modeling, feasibility analysis, prototyping, and user interfacing. In addition to the traditional structured approached to SA/SD, the well-known object-oriented approach, UML, will also be covered.

 Course Objectives:

  • Understand how organization information systems are developed using a variety of methods and approaches
  • Gain practical experience about developing a working prototype of information systems using the Unified Modeling Process
  • Master Advanced C++ Qt Programming
