                                                                         BUSINESS WRITING AND ORAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS 

The aim of this course is to teach students how to write various business-related documents and how to give oral presentations. The course will be taught in English with the aid of PowerPoint slides from the instructor.

Written topics that will be covered in the course include: (1) basic business letters, (2) curriculum vitae, (3) conference abstracts, (4) poster papers, (5) research grant proposals, and (6) progress reports. Oral presentation skills that will be addressed in the course include those related to in-house company presentations and conferences. A “hands-on” approach to learning will be used in the course by expecting the student to complete several class exercises that will be discussed and answered by the instructor.
